The Weeki Wachee Volleyball team defeated Central High School in both junior varsity and varsity last night at Weeki Wachee High School. JV won by 2-0 and the varsity won 3-0.
Sophomore Jack Hurst, finished in a first place tie versus Springstead High School, Thursday, August 24th at Hernando Oaks Golf Course. Hurst shot a 41 on the day.
The volleyball team began the 2017 season with a victory defeating Citrus High School. The defending district champs won with a score of 3-0. Their next opponent will be Central High School on Thursday, August 24th at 7 PM in their home opener. The cost of admission is $4.
Weeki Wachee football team opened up the 2017 football season with a 21-12 victory over Tavares High School in the Kick-off Classic. The Hornets will open up their regular season at The Hornets Nest next Friday, August 25th at 7 PM versus Lake Weir.
Due to the solar eclipse, outdoor athletic practices will have the following schedule: Football will start practice after their meetings at 4:15. Golf, Cross Country and Swimming will not have practice.
The Hornet football team will travel to Taveres High School for a 7:30 kick-off on Friday, August 18th.
The football team will be playing a quarter at Springstead High School at 12:50 vs. Wiregrass in a one quarter scrimmage that all proceeds will go to a little boy that is fighting cancer. The cost is a minimum of $2
Open Campus will be held at Weeki Wachee High School this Friday from 9-12. You will be able to get your schedule and visit your classrooms. Also, you will be able to pay for PE Uniforms and Lockers ($45), Activity fee ($20) and season and family athletic passes.
