Two Hornet runners named to all county team

Brothers Yeatesh (Second time) and Jaiden (First time) Raghunandan were named to the all county cross country team.  Both were regional qualifiers.

Five Hornets Named to All County Team Soccer Teams

Reilley Bain (Junior) and Lauren Mullen (Senior) were named to the all county girls soccer team for the third time.  Zoie Herzek (Junior) was also named for the first time.  Bain led the lady Hornets in points (73) and goals (31).  Mullen was led in assists (12).  Herzek anchored down the defense.   Seth Tarbox

Weeki Wachee Athletics will compete in the Gulf Coast 8 Conference

The Hornet athletic teams will be competing against Central, Citrus, Crystal River, Hernando, Lecanto, Nature Coast, and Springstead.  Conference champions will be crowned in all sports except for Football.  Every sport will have an all conference team, player of the year, and coach of the year.   GC8 Press Release

Spring Football Game

The Weeki Wachee Hornets football team is hosting Calvary Christian High School Thursday Night at 7:00pm.  This will be the coaching debut of the new Hornets HC Chris Cook.  Tickets will cost $6 and parking is $5.

Green and White Scrimmage

The Hornet football team is getting ready for their spring game by having an intrasquad scrimmage.  They conclude spring practice next week and host Calvary Christian Thursday at 7:00.  Come out and show your support!!

Hobbs Gets State Championship Ring

Alexis Hobbs, the first state champion in Weeki Wachee history, receives her state championship ring, pictured with Coach Kelly. Hobbs graduated early this year and will be attending PHSC.

Hornets Sign With Wilkes

Jason McKnight and Shane Davidson, two senior football players, have signed with Wilkes College, a NCAA division 3 school located in eastern Pennsylvania. Davidson and McKnight were both standout wrestlers for Weeki Wachee.

Hornets Defeat Anclote on the Gridiron 20-14

The Hornet football team defeated Anclote High School 20-14 at Anclote to wrap up the spring season.  The Hornets came back from a 14-0 deficit and took the lead for good with three minutes left in the game on a Sebastian Class 25 yard run.  Weeki Wachee will host Tavares High School on Friday, August

Alum Hokanson (2015) Shows Off Championship Ring

Former Hornet, David Hokanson (Hokie), shows off his 2018 National Championship ring he received for being an equipment football manager for University of Central Florida.  UCF finished the season 14-0, the only undefeated team in NCAA Division 1.  Hokie was a member of the football, weightlifting and track team during his time at Weeki Wachee.
