Hornets finish 7th at 38th Annual Kiwanis Invitational

The Hornet wrestlers competed in the Kiwanis Invitational at Hernando High School over the past two days.  They came away with a 7th place finish as a team out of the  33 team field.  Keith Germain was the lone finalist for the Hornets, placing 2nd at 106 pounds. 12/13 Boys Soccer game postponed

Tonight’s (12/13) boys Soccer game against Springstead has been postponed due to the threat of severe weather. The game will be made up 1/28.

Wrestling Team Wins WW Dual Tournament

For the first time since the tournaments inception, the Weeki Wachee Hornets won their own Dual Tournament. The Hornets beat the Lecanto Panthers in the last match 52-25 to finish 8-0 over the two day tournament.  Weeki Wachee also beat Zephyrhills, Crystal River, Central, Wesley Chapel, Springstead, Nature Coast, and Belleview. Weeki Wachee had 3 all Gulf Coast 8 conference selections for the inaugural fall sports season. Jack Hurst finished second in the conference tournament which earned him an all conference selection in boys golf.  Linebacker Trenton Pisarski and Offensive Lineman John Mangarillo garnered all conference nods in football. Weeki Wachee also had multiple athletes named
